MMC Ventures is a research-led venture capital firm that has backed over 60 early-stage, high-growth technology companies since 2000.

Its dedicated research function provides a deep and differentiated understanding of emerging technologies and sector dynamics, to identify attractive investment opportunities. MMC’s research team also supports early stage companies through the life of MMC’s investment.

MMC helps to catalyse the growth of enterprise software and consumer internet companies that have the potential to disrupt large markets. The Fund has one of the largest software-as-a-service (SaaS) portfolios in Europe, with recent exits including CloudSense, Invenias and NewVoiceMedia.

MMC’s dynamic consumer portfolio includes several of the UK’s favourite companies, including Bloom & Wild, Gousto and Interactive Investor.

"With Senseon, CISOs and security teams no longer have to manually combine multiple pieces of software into a comprehensive defensive strategy. Through a single holistic platform, they are able to detect, solve and prevent cyber-attacks and gain a better understanding of their entire digital estate. This is a difficult problem to solve and we believe Senseon is the team to solve it."

“As a financial services business involved in deep tech investments, we take the security of our assets, team, and infrastructure very seriously. Before investing in Senseon, we trialled their cyber security platform. We were so impressed with the technology’s capabilities, the visibility that it gave us, and its ability to accurately detect threats, that we were able to stop using our SIEM tool and replaced it with Senseon.”

"We invested in Senseon because we saw real value in the way Senseon's product - through the use of AI Triangulation and Sensory AI - provides CISOs with one cohesive platform from which they can protect their organisation from emerging threats, essentially replacing the need to purchase three or four different single-point solutions. The Senseon team's mix of technical cyber experience and credible commercial expertise impressed us from day one, and is clearly something Dave Atkinson seeks to maintain as he builds out his world-class team."

Senseon’s vision to use AI techniques and combine both network and endpoint level data to better detect and block cyber threats immediately resonated with Winton, having seen the limits of single point solutions.
